CULINARY WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT WITH DANVILLE

Talent is the secret ingredient that adds flavor to every dish and innovation to every menu. Yet, cultivating a skilled culinary workforce isn't just about cooking techniques; it's about nurturing passion, fostering creativity, and providing opportunities for growth. One of Retro Hospitality’s guiding principles is investing in hospitality workforce development for the Commonwealth. We recognize the need for talented hospitality team members across spectrum, and we are always ready to partner with fellow Virginia groups to continue the investment.

We are excited to work with the Danville VA Office of Economic Development & Tourism as they explore options for creating a community culinary training program in Danville. Retro joined Danville community and education leaders and members of the Virginia Restaurant, Lodging & Travel Association this spring to tour culinary labs and workforce development centers in Central Virginia.

In March, Retro joined Danville community and education leaders, and members of the Virginia Restaurant, Lodging & Travel Association, to tour Central Virginia’s culinary labs and workforce development centers.

Special thanks to the Chesterfield Career and Technical Center, The Kitchens at Reynolds Community College, Mercy Chefs, the Culinary Institute of Virginia, Culinary Concepts AB, and Piedmont Virginia Community College for your time and wisdom - we look forward to the next chapter with Danville!
